We believe that...

Mountain lions are in peril.

Our nation is on the verge of destroying this
apex species upon which whole ecosystems depend.

Hunting mountain lions is morally unjustified.

Killing lions to prevent conflicts is ineffective and dangerous.

Conserving and enhancing lion habitat and connectivity is essential.

There is a critical need to know more about the biology, behavior, ecology and value of mountain lions.

Governments should base decisions upon truthful science, valid data, humane values, and the highest common good.

Individual mountain lions have the right to exist and to enjoy full natural lives free of excessive human intervention.

Together, we can save America's lion. Photograph of lion walking toward you.
