RI Family Keeping Mountain Lion as Pet

Although mountain lions do not make good pets, many states issue permits allowing residents to keep them. Sometimes lions found in unusual areas can be attributed to an escaped or released pet - usually one that was kept illegally. A family in Rhode Island had a permit to keep their lion, Narla, but recently surrendered her over to a wildlife sanctuary. Narla will now have more space to roam and live out her retirement.
