Cougar Killed in Oregon

Although a mountain lion (or cougar) has never attacked a person in Oregon’s history, wildlife officials still kill more than 50 lions each year under the blanket of public safety. This is in addition to the more than 100 lions that are killed annually by sport hunters in the state. Lions prefer to stay away from cities. Given time and space, they will move on. Unfortunately, on Saturday this lion was not given the chance.
